电气provides a range of hybrid stepper motors with frame sizes from NEMA 8 to NEMA 66. All NEMA stepper motors are available in 4, 6, or 8 lead configurations for bipolar or unipolar operation. In addition to the standard configuration, our NEMA stepper motors can be designed and manufactured according to the special requirements of the customer. Available customizations include a variety of shaft machining options, plus the addition of optional encoders, gearboxes, and brakes. 美国国家电气制造商协会vwin德赢线上娱乐(NEMA) defines a set of standards used to dictate tolerances for many products, including step motors. Step motors are categorized by NEMA frame size, such as "size 11" or "size 23" or “size 34”. Generally speaking, a size 11 step motor means the mounting face of the motor is 1.1 inches square; A size 23 step motor is 2.3 inches square; A size 34 step motor is 3.4 inches square, etc.
NEMA standards help provide interchangeability - the ability to switch from one manufacturer to another without having to significantly change mounting brackets, couplings, etc. However, two motors of the same NEMA size may actually differ somewhat among manufacturers. Shaft length and shaft diameter are examples of the differentiation, as is the presence of a flat or a keyway on the shaft which varies from supplier to supplier. NEMA standards do not dictate the number of lead wires or winding impedance, so be sure to consider all specifications carefully before designing in an alternate supplier.
- Parallel connect the lead wires for best torque over the widest speed range

- Keep motor case temperature below 100 °C. This can be achieved by lowering the motor current or limiting the duty cycle
- Allow sufficient time to accelerate load
- Use a microstepping drive for smoothest motor performance over a wide speed range
- For open loop operation, size the motor with a 30-50% torque margin at speed. Including an encoder in the system and using a Stall Prevention feature may allow operation all the way down to a 0% torque margin
