Hollow Shaft Rotary Encoders
Hollow-shaft and hub-shaft rotary encoders are mounted directly to a motor shaft with an elastic tether. This allows for flexibility when choosing arrangements and removes the need to size the feedback hardware to the actuator dimensions.
Hollow-shaft and hub-shafts are easier to implement and less sensitive to shock and vibration that can cause misalignment. With no external fittings are required, hollow-shaft assembly dimensions are generally smaller.
Consider a Kit Encoder:
Kit Encoders from POSITAL offer smart, maintenance-free solutions for challenging tasks in real time motion feedback. A combination of sensing technologies results in a hollow shaft design with uninterruptible, battery-free multi-turn function, powered byWiegand pulsewith every rotation.
This gear-free, compact, and economically optimized concept is ideal for integration into servo motors, stepper motors, and robotic arms. Enhanced signal processing software enables high-resolution rotary position measurement.
